Stone and Chrome are so called because we are a family business specialising not only in bathroom design, supply and installation but also natural stone. Our inspirational bathrooms are always tiled in natural stone and we pride ourselves on using a lot of natural products in our bathrooms, including bespoke items.
We are therefore delighted at the current trend for more natural products in the bathroom – as featured in our recent blog about Trending Bathrooms. In today’s blog we want to feature what is becoming a very popular item: the free-standing stone bath. We have used free-standing baths in many of the bathrooms featured in our gallery – for example the image on the right. Why not have a browse and see what inspiration strikes you!
The beauty of free-standing baths is that they can work well in bathrooms of either traditional or contemporary design and form a natural centrepiece for the bathroom. They can also either fill a large space with room to spare, and look artistically minimalist; or can quite as easily be fitted into limited space – an awkward corner for example – and look just right!
In another recent blog we were proud to announce that we now supply the wonderful range of Arcade products. Arcade produce exceptionally high quality free-standing baths and we wanted to showcase four of these luxurious products here as they deserve.
The Albany
Firstly we have the Albany free-standing bath. This comes in natural stone with a white ribbed effect finish. It is a very sophisticated product with a retro art deco feel. The style would fit with either a richly coloured bathroom – think dark reds or greens – or perhaps a stark black and white theme. Either way, this bath will never fail to impress!
The Vigo
The second natural stone free-standing bath is the Vigo, which can come in either a white or nickel finish. This has traditional legs, also in nickel finish. This roll top bath would look perfect in any bathroom, whether in keeping with traditional style or adding a touch of elegance to something more contemporary.
The Vine
The third bath featured today – The Vine – is in some ways very similar to the Vigo but has a slightly different shape. The Vine is more asymmetrical than the Vine so adds a slight twist to the traditional theme. Like the Vigo, it has a roll top and comes in either a white or nickel finish with traditional nickel legs.
The Sackville
The Sackille is a cleverly tapered free-standing roll top slipper bath. Looking at the image below, it is easy to picture yourself languishing in this stunning bath, enjoying a nice long soak: Cinderella shall go to the ball indeed! The Sackville bath is made of natural stone and comes in a choice of white or nickel finish, with traditional nickel legs.
Which Will You Choose?!
We hope that this blog has inspired you to consider a free-standing bath for your brand new bathroom? In addition to the wonderful Arcade products featured above, we have many more product ranges available. Whilst free-standing baths are available in a variety of different finishes we don’t think you can beat a natural stone free-standing bath, but then as Stone and Chrome we would say that wouldn’t we! To check out our full range of bathroom furniture in both stone and other finishes, why not visit us today at our Camberley showroom.
In our next blog will feature another popular item that we love at Stone and Chrome – the wet room! Check back here soon for some examples of this wonderful bathroom feature!
